The Oxford Department of International Development (ODID) is seeking to recruit a Mentoring and Student Success Manager who will be working within the Refugee-Led Research Hub (RLRH).

About the role:

The Mentoring and Student Success Manager will provide strategic leadership, coordination, and quality assurance across RLRH’s academic support and mentoring functions. The postholder will ensure that mentors are effectively recruited, trained, supported, and engaged, cultivating an enabling environment where learners receive bespoke and consistently high-quality academic guidance, counselling and application-building support. The role ensures that learners make informed academic choices, meet key deadlines, and progress successfully through application and funding processes, while also ensuring that mentoring relationships are purposeful, well-managed, and impactful. The Mentoring and Student Success Manager has significant responsibilities related to data collection, management, and reporting to funders.

  • The position is offered full-time and fixed-term until 30 September 2028

About you:

The successful candidate will have substantial experience in programme or mentorship management in an (I)NGO and/or higher education setting, with excellent leadership experience and timeline management. They will also have strong relationship management, facilitation, and communication skills, with the ability to inspire volunteer mentors and engage senior professionals. Demonstrable written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presentation abilities are essential for this role.
