The Corporate and Professional Services departments are the cornerstone of the University. They each provide essential and valuable support to both each other and the Academic departments, helping the University to function in the most efficient and productive way, ensuring that the students’ experience is second to none.

Finance Systems & Data Administrator (Fixed-Term, Buckingham Based)

The University of Buckingham is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Systems & Data Administrator to support the smooth running of our core financial operations.

This is a key role within the Finance team, responsible for supporting the University’s financial systems, ensuring data accuracy, producing high-quality reporting, and collaborating with colleagues across the institution.

This position is offered on a fixed-term basis to provide support while existing team members focus on the implementation of a new Student Management System, a major phase within a wider digital transformation programme. The successful candidate must be adaptable to change, able to manage competing priorities, and be confident working on their own initiative.

Key Responsibilities

  • Producing student invoicing from the existing Student Management System (SITS) and other data sources
  • Performing data reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
  • Supporting and maintaining finance systems and processes
  • Collaborating with Finance, IT, and other departments to improve processes
  • Ensuring consistent, accurate, and high-quality financial data
