As DMU refreshes its Empowering University Strategy, we are looking for a inspirational leader who will drive educational enhancement and digital innovation across the institution. DMU Education Academy

The DMU Education Academy is the University’s educational enhancement unit, providing strategic leadership for learning, teaching and digital pedagogical development. Based at DMU’s Leicester campus, the Academy supports the professional development of teaching-focused staff and has played a leading role in the implementation of block learning and digitally enhanced pedagogies across the University.

Its work spans educational development, academic practice and digital learning, supporting initiatives focused on active learning, assessment and feedback, academic tutoring, student success and educational innovation.

Role

Reporting within the Deputy Vice-Chancellor's Education, Equalities and Student Experience portfolio, the Director will provide strategic leadership for educational enhancement and digital pedagogies across the University. You will champion innovative, evidence-informed approaches to digitally enhanced education, build staff capability and foster a culture of continuous improvement. As a senior institutional leader, you will contribute to University strategy and policy, represent DMU externally and help strengthen the University’s reputation for educational excellence.

Ideal Candidate

You will be an accomplished academic leader with a reputation for scholarship and leadership in digitally enhanced learning and teaching. Educated to doctoral level, or with equivalent professional standing, you will bring substantial experience of leading educational enhancement and digital transformation within higher education.

You will have a strong track record of delivering innovative teaching and learning strategies that have improved student outcomes and institutional performance. Experience of leading large-scale change programmes, managing multidisciplinary teams and using data-informed approaches to drive improvement will be essential.

An inspirational and inclusive leader, you will possess the credibility and influence to engage effectively with colleagues, students and external partners.
