About the role

The Psychedelic Research Therapist will deliver manualised, protocol-driven therapy to participants enrolled in clinical trials investigating psilocybin for complex mental health conditions. In this role, you will help strengthen the operational and clinical foundations that underpin the Centre’s cutting-edge psychedelic research.

What you would be doing

You will be one of the main research therapists in a pilot study investigating the use of psilocybin for gambling disorder (PsiloGambling). You will support participants through all phases of psychedelic-assisted therapy—preparation, dosing, and integration—upholding both participant safety and research integrity.

You will also contribute to the smooth operation of trials by working on other research projects as needed to cover annual leave or busy periods, scheduling training series as instructed by the Senior Therapist, analysing qualitative data, and circulating key information within therapy teams. Unlike traditional therapy roles, this post requires strict adherence to study manuals and timelines while contributing to the safe and ethical delivery of experimental psychedelic interventions. Your approach will centre equity, diversity, and inclusion, ensure culturally responsible participant care and contributing to an inclusive team culture that strengthens the integrity and impact of our research.

  • The opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary team including therapists, medics, researchers and principal investigators
