Technician Demonstrator (Media and Journalism)

Job Description 

Responsible to: Technician Manager

Overall Purpose

• You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of specialist media facilities, including 2 multicamera TV studios and 3 radio studios.
• You will be an experienced technician preferably with experience of the HE sector, with proven experience in a TV or Radio broadcasting environment as well as location shooting skills.
• You will be familiar with Adobe Creative Suite including After Effects, Audition and Premiere Pro. Knowledge of Indesign, Word Press and other digital software is desirable.
• Some degree of flexibility in terms of working hours is required. 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain a general overview of health and safety and ensure the use of safe working practices, including conducting risk assessments and safety
• Mentor and assist other technicians as required. 

Occasional Duties

• Set up exhibitions/performances and end of year shows where applicable, which may require some unsociable hours.
• Run Masterclasses and work with programme teams on School liaison and outreach programmes out of term time
