The Strategy, Governance and External Relations (SGER) Directorate is responsible for enhancing the University’s reputation across the UK and supporting sustainable income growth. It brings together a range of workstreams, including the UK Student Recruitment Team, which leads on engagement and outreach activity to increase both the number and diversity of UK students studying in Dundee at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The Directorate plays a central role in shaping and delivering engagement and recruitment strategies that align with the University’s priorities and widening access ambitions.

The Strategy, Governance and External Relations (SGER) Directorate, where this role sits within the UK Student Recruitment Team, leads the development and delivery of strategic engagement and UK recruitment plans aligned with the University’s goals and priorities. The team plays a key role in driving growth in UK student enrolment.

The University now seeks to appoint a Student Recruitment Officer (Home/Scotland) to contribute to the successful delivery of key outreach and conversion activities, with the aim of attracting Home/Scottish applications and enrolments for all University programmes. Reporting to the Student Recruitment Manager, the Student Recruitment Officer plays a key role in delivering outreach strategies to grow student enrolments across the UK, with a focus on Home/Scotland. The Student Recruitment Team work closely with colleagues across the University, particularly in Admissions, Marketing, Communications, Student and Academic Service and Faculty teams. External relationships are central to the role and will see the Student Recruitment Officer manage relationships with key stakeholders in Scotland.
