The School of Nursing, Midwifery, Allied and Public Health’s (NMAPH) mission is to educate, innovate, and collaborate across the health professions to improve lives and transform healthcare delivery.

We are proud to offer a diverse and thriving portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes spanning a wide range of allied health professions, including Physiotherapy, Diagnostic Radiography, Dietetics, Medical Ultrasound, Clinical Reporting, Occupational Therapy, Paramedic Science, Speech and Language Therapy, Operating Department Practice, Ophthalmic Dispensing, and Public Health & Health Promotion.

As our programmes continue to grow, we are seeking an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Physiotherapy academic to join our supportive and ambitious team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the next generation of physiotherapists while contributing to the ongoing development of our teaching, research, and professional partnerships.

Our Physiotherapy provision includes:

BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy at our Canterbury campus
MSc Physiotherapy (Pre-registration) at our Medway campus

Both programmes feature rich interprofessional learning opportunities, enabling staff and students to collaborate across a range of allied health disciplines. This creates a stimulating teaching environment where innovation, teamwork, and shared learning are central to the student experience.

We are particularly interested in hearing from applicants with:

  • A passion for physiotherapy education and workforce development and previous teaching experience
  • Specialist knowledge and clinical expertise in adult neurology
  • A commitment to scholarship, research, and evidence-informed practice
  • A collaborative approach and desire to contribute to curriculum innovation and programme development

This cross-site role offers the opportunity to work across our Canterbury and Medway campuses, engaging with a vibrant community of academics, clinicians, researchers, and students.

How will you work?

Campus attendance will vary on a day-to-day basis and across the year but must purposefully align with the service being delivered and to the needs of our students, staff, and stakeholders. It is expected that the majority of your working time will be spent on campus.
