The Finance Division is at the centre of a major transformation programme to modernise how the University manages and understands its finances, supporting world-leading education and research. As the programme moves towards the launch of a new finance system in May 2027, the Assistant to the Finance Transformation Programme Director will play a key role in supporting a high-profile function, working closely with senior leadership to ensure priorities, communications and operations run smoothly.
The Role
This position provides high-level executive and programme support within a complex transformation environment. You will help ensure the effective operation of the Programme Director's office by managing priorities, coordinating activity, and maintaining the flow of information, decisions and actions. Working with senior colleagues across the University and external partners, you will support delivery by organising activity, managing competing demands, and keeping work aligned and on track.

The University is supportive of hybrid working, where some work is undertaken on University premises and some in a remote working environment. The aim of our approach is to enable as many staff as possible to work in a hybrid way if they wish and where their role allows. As a key member of the Finance Transformation Programme, the successful candidate will be required to work in the office three days a week. This arrangement is subject to change and will not form a part of the contractual terms of the role.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 31 August 2027 in the first instance.
