Where passion meets purpose. Be part of something bigger.

The University isn’t just any employer.  We are part of a local community and a contributor to global thinking, progress and research.  In Edinburgh, you are in one of the world’s most attractive cities with active arts and social sectors, while working in a University that has made significant contributions to society, medicine, physics, and teaching for over four centuries.  Our people have helped create the modern world and are working on more ground-breaking technologies and practices.

The University of Edinburgh is a world-class organisation. We are a large University covering a wide range of activities.  In Professional Services, we support the University’s research and teaching, offering many career and role specialisms.

The Opportunity:

As an Integration Architect you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and support of the University’s integration architecture in line with the overall enterprise architecture, in order to enable the provision of integrated business processes and consistent data across the University.

Stakeholder management is a key part of this role.  You will lead technical communication and promotion of the integration architecture with other parts of the University and external parties such as vendors or consultants.  You will work to build relationships with service owners and software developments.

Contributing to the overall Enterprise Architecture (EA) practice is another aspect of this role.  You will work with Enterprise Architects to establish and disseminate patterns, standards, and governance processes for integration, ensuring that the EA repository holds accurate information about integrations.

We offer a range of policies and benefits designed to support you in building the right work/life balance for you:

  • Opportunities to develop new skills and broaden your experience.
  • Interesting work.
  • Responsibility and autonomy.
  • Contributing to the work and purpose of the University.

This post is full-time (35 hours per week); however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
