Head of Safety Surveillance Analytics and Data (Medicines and Devices)

We are currently looking for an experienced Head of Safety Surveillance Analytics and Data (Medicines and Devices) to join our Safety and Surveillance group.

Within a week of working here, your day could look like this: providing effective leadership and management to the SSDA team, to develop staff in line with the Agency’s people strategies and build an inclusive culture of high and continuous performance.   Line-manage G7-team leaders.

The successful candidate will have experience in the management and/or supervision of professional staff.  Membership in GORS or GSS is desirable.

• Extensive knowledge of the medical devices or demonstrated willingness to acquire this knowledge. 
• Extensive knowledge in data-science, machine learning and simulation methods. 
• Doctoral degree in a numerate discipline e.g. science, engineering or epidemiology, or equivalent experience developed through previous roles.
• Understanding of or interest in the medical device regulatory landscape.
• Strong understanding of data analysis methods, and statistics. 
• Understanding of device epidemiology (desirable)
