About the Role
We are seeking to appoint to the post of Clinical Reader in Medical Education based at the Institute of Health Sciences Education within Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry. This post comes with a role as the Head of Year 5 MBBS.
The post is advertised with 0.6FTE available for Head of Year 5 role and 0.2FTE for clinical activity. This post is offered as an indefinite contract with an expected start date of August 2026.
About You
The successful candidate will be critical to the effective delivery of MBBS as the holder will be responsible for supporting the transition of MBBS students from Year 4 to Year 5 MBBS, and then from Year 5 MBBS in the clinical workplace as foundation Year 1 doctors in the NHS. They will lead and manage the MBBS curriculum in the student assistantship placements in partnership with placement providers and develop key strategic relationships with our NHS partners, in particular undergraduate teaching leads across North and East London.
