About the role
We are seeking two Lecturers (Teaching Focussed) to join the School of Psychology & Vision Sciences at the University of Leicester. In this role, you will contribute to the delivery and development of our BSc Psychology programmes both in Leicester and through our international partnership with Chongqing Medical University, as part of a dual award programme. This includes delivering high-quality teaching, supporting assessment, and contributing to curriculum innovation, with opportunities to travel to China as part of our flying faculty to deliver teaching in blocks across the academic year.
You will play a key role in shaping an engaging and inclusive learning environment, drawing on research-informed teaching practices and innovative digital approaches. Alongside teaching, you will contribute to scholarship, pedagogical development, and student support, while engaging actively in the academic community and contributing to the University’s broader mission as an inclusive, inspiring and impactful institution.
About you
You will hold a PhD (or equivalent) in Psychology or a closely related discipline, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality teaching in higher education and experience of supervising student research projects. You will demonstrate the ability to design and deliver engaging teaching materials, contribute to curriculum development, and support students in achieving their academic potential in a supportive and inclusive environment.
You will bring excellent communication and organisational skills, a collaborative approach to working with colleagues across diverse international contexts, and a commitment to continuous professional development. A willingness to travel internationally for teaching, alongside an interest in pedagogical innovation and student-centred learning, will be essential to success in this role.
