About the role

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to manage the development and administration of two projects:

  • An interdisciplinary 5-year research project funded through a Wellcome Trust Discover Award, which will examine life-course inequities for LGBTQ+ people. The project focuses on housing-related institutions, including central government departments and local authorities, to understand the processes by which institutions, communities, and individuals, reproduce or mitigate health inequities experienced by LGBTQ+ people.

The project manager will be responsible for the management and inter-institutional coordination of all non-academic activities and operations to support and maximise delivery of the projects’ aims. There is an expected 80:20 split of time between these two projects.

The project manager will provide high-level management of all non-academic project activities and day to day operations, including coordinating project partners, engaging and communicating with external stakeholders, timesheets, external and internal reports, assisting with visa applications, overseeing the budget, organising meetings, and recording meeting minutes. The project manager will work closely across institutions in the project, to support the delivery of project activities, ethics and EDI frameworks, and career development.

The post holder will be line managed by the Head of School Operations in the School of Global Affairs.
