We wish to appoint a Research Assistant to a research position at the MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit, Cambridge, for a full time role duration of 1 years, in the first instance. The successful candidate will join the research programmes led by Prof Tamar Makin and support cutting-edge research programmes investigating the boundaries of brain plasticity for augmenting and restoring hand function and dysfunction, in both abled and disabled individuals at all ages.
The postholder would be responsible for running behavioural and neuroimaging experiments, as well as recording, organising, analysing, write-up and dissemination of data as part of a research team. The postholder will also provide support on ongoing and future research related to the neural representation of robotic body augmentation devices in healthy controls and clinical populations. Experience in working with clinical populations with motor disability is highly desirable.
