UGM Manchester is an innovative higher education provider in the heart of Manchester, with a focus on high quality teaching and assessment, and an inclusive, business-like culture. We are as much a leadership school as a business school. As we grow our range of undergraduate courses, we are looking to recruit high quality, highly motivated lecturers with a strong background in practice to match their academic qualifications.
We are looking for a senior lecturer in Computing, specifically Software Development, with utility across a range of other Computing subject areas. We are especially interested in receiving applications from those from industry and commerce looking to start a new career in higher education. Our ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of the wider business and technology environment, and will be an outstanding teacher. They will be passionate about improving the life-chances of our students, and have a deep interest in their specialism.
The successful candidate will work from our building at Manchester Science Park. All staff are required to teach face-to-face, but may occasionally be required to teach online, so familiarity with online delivery, and Zoom in particular, will be an advantage. One of the initial roles of the successful candidate will be to design resources for our forthcoming Software Development module.
Fellowship of the HEA or an undertaking to achieving this will be an advantage. You will be qualified to Master’s degree level or higher. We operate three trimesters per academic year and work in a dynamic environment which is entirely student-focused. Candidates must have an unrestricted right to live and work in the United Kingdom without caveat.
To apply, please send a current CV and covering letter to resourcing@manchester.ugm.ac.uk via the ‘Apply’ button above.
