Responsibilities include recruiting high-potential ventures and world-class mentors, managing relationships with ventures and stakeholders participating in the programme, maintaining CDL-London's research and stakeholder databases, and leading initiatives that drive the growth and continuous improvement of the programme.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for a driven, entrepreneurial professional who thrives at the intersection of science, technology, and business. You will bring:

  • A passion for startups, venture ecosystems, and science-based innovation, with a genuine curiosity about what makes science-based companies succeed
  • Relevant experience in external relations, business development, stakeholder relations, or venture management
  • Experience working in innovation, entrepreneurship, or startup support, engaging confidently with founders, mentors, investors, and academics
  • A proven ability to identify, recruit, and engage high-potential founders, partners and world-class mentors
  • Strong relationship management skills - you are someone people trust, return to, and want in their corner
  • Sharp analytical instincts and the ability to evaluate early-stage ventures across diverse technology verticals
  • Excellent communication skills - written, verbal, and in the room - with the confidence to facilitate sessions with founders, senior scientists, investors, and entrepreneurs
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of or experience in healthcare, medtech, robotics, or life sciences is a plus

What we can offer you:

  • The opportunity to continue your career at a world-leading institution and be part of our mission to use science for humanity.
  • Potential overseas occasional travel.
  • Benefit from a sector-leading salary and remuneration package (including 41 days’ annual leave and generous pension schemes).
  • Access to a range of workplace benefits including a flexible working policy from day one, generous family leave packages, on-site leisure facilities and cycle-to-work scheme.

  • Be part of a diverse, inclusive and collaborative work culture with various staff networks and resources to support your personal and professional wellbeing.
