An exciting opportunity has emerged for a Health and Safety Technician (Radiation Protection) to join University Safety Services.
As part of a central team of health and safety professionals, you will play a key role in safeguarding the wellbeing of our staff, students, and visitors across the University’s diverse estate and activities.
Working collaboratively across a wide range of stakeholders, you will provide professional technical advice and support the continuous improvement of the University’s Health and Safety Management System.
This role has a particular focus on managing specific aspects of radiation safety, radiation laboratories and key responsibilities include:
To be successful in this role, you will hold a degree in a scientific discipline, or a minimum of a Level 3 (QCF) qualification in a scientific discipline with demonstrable experience. A basic but recognised Health and Safety qualification, e.g. IOSH Managing Safely, is essential.
This full-time post is available from 1 October 2026 on a fixed term basis for 18 months.
