About the role
The Central Office Administrator maintains administrative systems in the Mathematics Department and provides administrative and operational support to students, staff, and visitors of the department, particularly those in the Applied Mathematics & Mathematical Physics (AMMP) Section. The key areas of responsibility are in administration, finance, space and facilities, recruitment and selection, health and safety, along with some general responsibilities.

What you would be doing
In this role, you will play an important part in creating a smooth, welcoming and well-organised experience for everyone who interacts with the Mathematics Department, from students and staff to visitors and external contacts. Your work will be varied and rewarding, and you will provide essential support across a wide range of areas including day-to-day administration, finance processes, space and facilities, recruitment activity, and health and safety. With a particular focus on supporting the Applied Mathematics and Mathematical Physics section, you will work closely with colleagues across the department and wider university, building positive relationships and helping things run efficiently behind the scenes.
