Are you looking to use your expertise in librarianship in the higher education sector as a university teacher? We have an exciting opportunity at the School of Information, Journalism and Communication for someone with a passion for teaching and significant experience in data science from industry or a PhD, for a 24-month-long position.
You will become a key member of the school's teaching team on our MA Librarianship and our MA Library and Information Services Management (LISM) programmes across a variety of modules, and supervise projects and dissertations. You will be covering teaching, including delivery, coordination, and assessment of modules, at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
You will have industry-related experience, or have a PhD in data science. The ability to deliver high-quality research-led teaching is essential. Experience of supervising students and providing academic support would be beneficial.
The successful candidate will have access to mentoring and support as well as time for their own educational scholarship. Enquiries about the position should be directed to Leo Appleton: l.appleton@sheffield.ac.uk.
