We are now looking for a Senior Teaching Associate to join us on a full-time, fixed-term basis from 1st September 2026 to 31st August 2027.

The Role

As a Senior Teaching Associate, you will contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and supervision in psychology and education, supporting students across our BA in Education and Psychology & Education MPhil programmes.

This teaching-focused role is centred on the delivery and administration of our academic provision. A key area will be the development and delivery of our undergraduate Education course, including course co-ordination, lecturing and marking across introductory and advanced modules.

You will also support the MPhil in Psychology and Education, organising and teaching a module on emerging issues in psychology and supervising student projects, whilst contributing to the wider delivery of our programmes.

Additionally, you will:

  • Contribute to assessment activities
  • Support admissions processes
  • Participate in ethics reviews
  • Support outreach activities
  • Work collaboratively with the wider teaching team
  • Promote inclusive teaching practices

About You

  • A PhD in psychology, education, or an adjacent field
  • A demonstrable commitment to excellent teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels
  • A track record of developing and delivering lectures at introductory and advanced levels
  • The ability to take a leading role in developing and delivering course content on a variety of topics in psychology and education
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with strong organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail in all aspects of work
  • The ability to respond flexibly to changes in teaching and supervisory responsibilities that may arise during the course of an academic year
  • Strong skills in time management and an ability to manage competing priorities
