This is an opportunity for a motivated, organised person to join the Northern Ireland Cerebral Palsy Register (NICPR) team in a temporary, part-time capacity. You will be an active member of the team, assisting with data collection, liaising with health and social care professionals, planning and delivery of epidemiological and health services research, and patient and public involvement activities. The role will provide excellent post-doctoral experience across a range of translational academic skills that may include linking, integration and analysis of quantitative datasets, preparation of summary reports and academic outputs, research dissemination, co-ordination of meetings and liaising with national and international collaborators.

This is a temporary role to cover a period of maternity leave.

The successful candidate must have and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following essential criteria:

  • Have, or be about to obtain, a relevant PhD eg nursing, midwifery, epidemiology, psychology or allied health.
  • Significant, relevant research experience in child health, paediatrics, disability or epidemiology.
  • Experience in management and analyses of large quantitative datasets (using relevant software e.g. SPSS or STATA).
  • Experience of preparation and writing of scientific reports and a publication track record commensurate with stage of academic career.
  • Demonstrable experience of successful project management and compliance with relevant governance and quality standard.

Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
