This ensures they remain relevant and up-to-date and provide students with the skills and experience employers expect from candidates in a competitive job market.
People Services Directorate
Our award-winning People Services directorate plays a vital role in shaping the future of DMU. With a rich and diverse portfolio spanning People Partnering, Policy and Employee Relations, Wellbeing, International, Pay and Reward, Operations and Support, Talent, Learning and Organisational Development, we work collaboratively across the university to deliver high-quality, people-centred services that enable our colleagues and students to thrive. At the heart of our work is a commitment to attracting, developing, retaining and supporting talented colleagues, while partnering with leaders to deliver strategic priorities, drive organisational change and create an inclusive, engaging workplace. As we continue to evolve our People function, this is an exciting time to join us and play a key role in shaping how we support the university ambitions.
Role Description
As a Change and Organisational Development Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how organisational change is delivered across the university. Working as part of our newly established Change and Projects team within People Services, you will design and deliver innovative organisational development solutions that support transformation, restructures and strategic change programmes. Partnering with senior leaders, managers and project teams, you will provide expert advice, develop practical toolkits and resources, facilitate engaging workshops and leadership development, and ensure our people are equipped to lead and sustain successful change. This is an opportunity to influence major university initiatives while helping to build organisational capability and embed a positive culture of continuous improvement.
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for an experienced organisational development and change professional who combines strategic thinking with a practical, collaborative approach. You will have a strong track record of designing and delivering organisational development interventions within the parameters of complex organisations, working confidently with senior stakeholders to diagnose challenges and develop effective, evidence-based solutions. You will be an engaging facilitator and trusted advisor, comfortable managing multiple priorities while building strong relationships across a matrix environment. Whether your background is in higher education or another large, complex organisation, you will bring curiosity, credibility and a passion for enabling people and organisations to thrive through change.
