The Department of Nursing & Midwifery boasts a thriving team of academics committed to developing highly competent practitioners via our pre-registration and postgraduate programmes.
It has a strong portfolio of world-leading research in the a wide number of healthcare areas. The department works in partnership with service users and carers, alongside health and social care experts and providers, to develop and deliver education and research which shapes future healthcare leaders.
We are seeking to appoint an excellent Senior Lecturer in Midwifery with academic and teaching experience in the field, who will make a significant contribution to our undergraduate, postgraduate and CPD provision. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and delivery of innovative and engaging education, across our pre- and post-registration programmes and modules. The successful candidate will be expected to fulfil the role of Divisional Lead for Midwifery and NMC Lead Midwife for Education for an initial three-year period.
The successful candidate will deliver high quality and engaging teaching across our midwifery and perinatal health programmes and modules, tailored to the diverse needs of our learners, and informed by research, scholarship and professional experience. Candidates must be registered with the NMC as Midwife and should possess an honours degree and postgraduate qualification; they will possess significant experience in teaching, curriculum design and development and educational leadership.
