About us

King’s Foundations, part of the Centre for International Education & Languages (CIEL), delivers high-quality international pathway programmes, academic skills development, and English language preparation courses. Our mission is to enable and empower students to thrive at a world-leading university.

About the role

The Centre for International Education and Languages (CIEL) is seeking a forward thinking, motivated, and highly skilled professional to join the Academic Skills Team. This role offers a rare opportunity to shape a new direction for credit-bearing English modules at King’s and to lead an institutional development from concept to delivery.

King’s College London currently offers credit-bearing language modules to undergraduate & postgraduate students via the King’s Language Centre, which also sits within CIEL. There are currently no credit-bearing English or EAP modules available to students. The intention is to explore, with faculty colleagues, opportunities for the development & integration of modules that would enhance student opportunities and experiences.

If you are excited by the prospect of leading a high-impact project, working across diverse academic communities, and creating new opportunities for students at King’s, we would love to hear from you.

This role will be joining King’s Foundations at an exciting time as we support our teaching staff to transfer over to Academic Education Pathway (AEP) contracts.

The position is offered on an academic (AEP) contract, reflecting the nature of the role and providing a platform for excellence. The role will be subject to a probationary period of in line with other academic roles at the College.

We welcome applications from individuals with a strong background in EAP, Learning Development, or English language teaching & experience in designing and delivering English language courses at undergraduate or postgraduate level. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of a growing team and the expansion of our modern language offerings at CIEL.

This is a full-time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract
