About Us

Spanning the historic streets of the "city of dreaming spires", the University of Oxford has been ranked the world’s leading university for ten consecutive years. A place where centuries of tradition meet world-changing innovation, we offer you the chance to shape the future while working in an inspiring environment that promotes excellence. Here, you’ll contribute to ground-breaking research that tackles global challenges - from advancing sustainability to pioneering healthcare solutions - and join a diverse, inclusive community that champions your wellbeing, development, and aspirations. Apply now to become part of our extraordinary legacy.

What We Offer

Working at the University of Oxford offers several exclusive benefits, such as:

  • 38 days of annual leave (inclusive of public holidays) to support your wellbeing, with the option to purchase up to 10 extra days and additional leave after long service.
  • Generous family leave schemes in UK higher education, offering up to 26 weeks of full-pay maternity and adoption leave, plus 12 weeks of full-pay paternity/partner leave.
  • Commitment to hybrid and flexible working to suit your lifestyle.
  • Excellent contributory pension scheme.
  • Affordable and sustainable commuting options
  • Access to a vibrant community through our social, cultural, and sports clubs.

About the Role

The successful candidate will primarily support the University's Exams Timetabling Operations (ETO) project, helping to replace the University's legacy exam timetabling system with a modern platform that will transform the way examinations are planned, managed and delivered. Alongside this, you will contribute to a range of service improvement initiatives across Education Services, working with colleagues to identify opportunities to enhance business processes, systems, data quality and reporting.

Working closely with the Head of Student Records and the Head of Student Data Modelling and Analytics, you will engage with a wide range of stakeholders across the University to understand business needs, analyse current processes and data flows, facilitate workshops, gather and document requirements, evaluate options, and support the implementation of sustainable solutions. You will also contribute to the development of the Student Data Authority, supporting improvements in data governance, information management and reporting that will benefit services across the University.

This is a varied role that combines business analysis, stakeholder engagement, process improvement and data-focused problem solving. You will work with operational teams, technical specialists and senior stakeholders to deliver practical solutions that improve efficiency, enhance the user experience and support evidence-based decision-making.

We are looking for someone with strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities and experience of delivering business or service improvement initiatives. You will be confident working in complex environments, managing competing priorities, and building effective relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

If you enjoy solving problems, working collaboratively to deliver meaningful change, and using data to improve services, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-profile projects at one of the world's leading universities.
