Greenwich Business School is looking for an enthusiastic and student-focused Faculty Employability Advisor to help shape and deliver high-impact employability support for our undergraduate students.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting student success, placement preparation and graduate outcomes within one of the University’s largest and most diverse faculties. Working closely with academic colleagues, the Employability and Apprenticeships Directorate and Faculty professional services teams, you will help students build the confidence, skills and experience they need to succeed in placements and graduate employment.

Key responsibilities in this role include

  • Supporting the delivery of Greenwich Business School’s Graduate Outcomes Enhancement Plan.
  • Delivering employability coaching, workshops and student-facing support focused on applications, interviews, assessment centres, professional skills and career readiness.
  • Contributing to the delivery of a credit-bearing placement preparation module.
  • Working with academic teams to embed employability within programme-level delivery.
  • Developing engaging learning resources and employability content for students.
  • Supporting students from diverse backgrounds to prepare for placements, graduate roles and future career opportunities.
  • Monitoring student engagement with employability activity and contributing to evaluation and continuous improvement.
  • Supporting employability events, placement fairs, open days and related student engagement activity.

About you

We are looking for someone with experience of delivering employability education, careers support, coaching, training or student development activity. You will be confident working with students both individually and in groups, and able to design and deliver engaging sessions that help students take practical steps towards their career goals.

You will bring strong communication and interpersonal skills, good knowledge of the UK graduate labour market, and the ability to motivate students from a wide range of backgrounds. Experience of working in higher education, careers, employability, business education or placement preparation would be particularly valuable.
