About the Role

Applications are invited for a full-time Postdoctoral Research Associate to work on an EPSRC funded project developing wearable ultrasound sensors. This post will be hosted in the research group of Professor Lei Su in the School of Engineering of Materials Science at Queen Mary University of London. The post holder will work in a multidisciplinary team including researchers from Imperial College London, clinicians from Royal London Hospital and the Royal Free Hospital as well as the industrial partners. This post is available initially for 12 months, and may be further extended for an additional 3 years (subject to the project progress).

About You

Candidates with a PhD degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Physics or Material engineering are encouraged to apply. Previous experience with any of the following: ultrasound imaging, ultrasound measurements, ultrasound technologies, Instrumentation, Measurement and Sensors, Electronic Devices, flexible electronics or ultrasound materials, will be an advantage.

The School of Engineering and Materials Science (SEMS) is a large, research-intensive School within the Faculty of Science and Engineering, comprising over 100 academic staff and a vibrant community of approximately 1,700 undergraduate and taught postgraduate students, alongside more than 150 PhD researchers.
