This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the University’s placement provision and enhancing the student experience through effective placement administration, compliance, and operational support. The role will directly contribute to the University’s strategic ambition to increase the number of students undertaking placements and gaining valuable industry experience.

As Placement Compliance Officer, you will oversee the efficient management of placement approval and compliance processes, ensuring placements meet University policies, safeguarding expectations, health and safety standards, and UKVI regulations where applicable. The role requires someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will act as a key point of contact for placement-related enquiries, maintain accurate records and online resources, monitor regulatory compliance requirements, and support continuous improvement across placement processes.

We are particularly interested in candidates who:

  • Have strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Can manage complex processes with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Are confident communicating with students, staff, and external organisations
  • Can interpret and apply policies and regulatory requirements
  • Are comfortable working independently while contributing positively to a wider team
  • Have experience working in higher education, student services, compliance, administration, or employability-related environments (desirable)

This role would suit someone who enjoys working in a collaborative, student-centred environment and is motivated by helping students access meaningful placement opportunities safely and successfully.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Placement approvals and due diligence checks
  • UKVI placement monitoring and reporting
