About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant central employability team as a Career Liaison Officer (CLO). Reporting to the Career Manager and with robust Careers, Placements and Employability service experience, you will have responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of innovative employability provision, caseloads management and Information, Advice and Guidance, throughout the University and in the curriculum.
You will work closely with academics towards the development of innovative curriculum design to embed employability interventions and career readiness in the curriculum and through authentic assessment. You will provide specialist advice to students, academics and employers building lasting relationships. Using data, for e.g. Graduate Outcomes dashboards, B3 metrics and student demographics, to inform your practice will be key, along with the ability to build relationships with students ‘at risk’ of low outcomes, academics and employers with a view to shape curriculum content and graduate outcomes in order to support student success.
You will enhance students’ career confidence, graduate career prospects and the student experience through employability and internship initiatives both embedded in the curriculum and through wider project work and caseloads, including employer-lead activities, 1-2-1 consultations and group interventions, both face to face and virtually. You will also represent Careers at university events including career fairs and Open Days across our campuses.
The ideal candidate will have a degree (or equivalent), substantial experience in Career education, employability delivery, AI career solutions, curriculum design and a proven ability to manage students and engage academics and employers, preferably in HE. Strong communication, IT, and organisational skills, along with flexibility and adaptability, are essential.
If you’re passionate about helping students achieve career success in a target-driven environment, we’d love to hear from you!
In return for your dedication, we have a competitive benefits package available
