An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Website and Portal Officer to join the Website & Portal team in the Marketing department (Admissions, Recruitment & Marketing division).
This is your chance to help shape the digital experience at a world class institution. In this role, you’ll work at the heart of UEA’s online presence - driving innovation, enhancing performance, and helping evolve both the public website (www.uea.ac.uk) and internal portal (My.UEA.ac.uk). If you’re excited by the idea of making a real difference behind the scenes, designing and implementing workflow processes and enhancing user experience for both CMS editors and website visitors alike, this is an opportunity to lead change and see your work in action every day.
This role is a pivotal part of UEA’s Website & Portal team. You will own and optimise the end-to-end process for content change requests across UEA’s public website (www.uea.ac.uk) and the internal portal (My.UEA.ac.uk). From triaging incoming requests through to reporting on delivery, you’ll bring a strong focus on efficiency and automation, while maintaining a clear, strategic view of UEA’s digital infrastructure and evolving stakeholder needs.
Key duties of the role include:
Acting as a key technical lead, you will have experience of scoping requirements for CMS’ functionality capabilities. You will bring a willingness to deepen your knowledge of our features and functionality and fully leverage our platforms capabilities. You will work with the team to troubleshoot issues and suggest solutions, bridging the gap between our team of web developers and often non-technical stakeholders.
You will work closely with the Website & Portal Manager, Product Owner, Head of Digital & Marketing Automation and wider Website and Marketing teams. You will support the delivery of strategic enhancements, maintenance and proactive projects relating to site development, optimisation and content delivery.
This full-time post is available from 17 August 2026 on an indefinite basis.
