About the role:
Do you have excellent organisation skills and would like to develop a career in project administration and management?
The Department of Surgery & Cancer is seeking to appoint a Project Manager (Programme Development) to join the project team developing an exciting and innovative 4-year undergraduate Masters Science (MSci) in Cancer Convergence Science programme. The programme is a transformational, future-facing degree that prepares students to address the complexity of cancer through integrated scientific, technological, societal and ethical lenses. It offers a pioneering educational experience designed for both scientific excellence and societal impact.
What you would be doing:
As an experienced Project Manager you will undertake the day-to-day management of the project. Working closely with the Project Leads, you will draw on your knowledge of PM methodology(ies) to develop and manage the project plan, track progress against specified deliverables and budgets, and ensure that successful outcomes are achieved.
You will be expected use your influence and PM skills to identify and resolve issues, to mitigate risk, and to ensure effective communication and collaboration across a wide variety of stakeholders, while establishing effective working relationships at both Imperial College London and with partner Overseas Research Institutes. The role will require a pro-active approach and engagement with our collaborators across multiple geographical and functional areas of activity to define, manage, and deliver the project. Previous experience of managing projects within an educational, health/medical and/or non-commercial organisation is essential.
