About the role
In this role, you will coordinate the delivery of an efficient and student-centred engagement service for a cluster of academic Schools and programmes within the College, as part of the wider Student Experience team.
The role ensures that engagement processes and services are delivered consistently, professionally and with a focus on continuous improvement, providing academic and professional colleagues, as well as students, with a supportive and seamless experience.
The student-engagement function covers all aspects of student-facing activity, including attendance and engagement monitoring, registration, mitigating circumstances, casework and referrals to central support services.
You will line-manage and develop a team of administrative staff, overseeing workload planning, performance and professional development to ensure the highest standards of service delivery.
There are multiple roles available, with posts available in the College of Science and Engineering and the College of Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities. You will be able to indicate a College preference in your application.
About you
You will have proven experience coordinating administrative or student-support services in a busy, multi-stakeholder environment. You will have a demonstrated ability to supervise or guide staff, allocating work and monitoring performance to meet service standards, although direct line-management experience is not essential.
You will be committed to delivering high levels of customer service and implementing improvements which enhance efficiency or student satisfaction. Evidence of contributing to process or service improvements is desirable.
You will have experience using large-scale IT or student-records systems to manage operational processes and ensure data accuracy. You will also have good analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret data, identify issues and propose practical, evidence-based solutions.
