Psychology at Lincoln Bishop University is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, collegial and student-focused Lecturer in Psychology to join our academic team. Psychology is part of the University's newly established Institute of Health, bringing together expertise from across Psychology, Sport, Health and Social Care, and Counselling. The Institute is currently undergoing an exciting period of development, providing opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration, innovation in teaching and research, and the chance for new colleagues to help shape its future direction.

We particularly welcome applications from candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Developmental Psychology
  • Biopsychology (Biological Psychology)
  • Clinical Psychology and/or Mental Health and Wellbeing

The successful candidate will contribute to teaching across our BPS-accredited undergraduate Psychology programmes and will play an active role in curriculum development, student recruitment, dissertation supervision, research and scholarship, and the wider academic life of the University.

Applicants should demonstrate:

  • A PhD in Psychology (completed or nearing completion).
  • Eligibility for Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) of the British Psychological Society.
  • A commitment to delivering an excellent student experience.
  • The ability to teach across the BPS core curriculum alongside specialist expertise.
  • An active research and/or scholarship profile appropriate to career stage.
  • A collaborative and flexible approach suited to working within a small, supportive academic team.
