Hours: Full Time
Contract Type: Permanent
Placed On: 20th July 2026
Closes: 29th July 2026

Job Type: Full time, 37.5 hours per week

We are looking for an experienced Deputy Sous Chef to join and support our busy, friendly kitchen team. This is a great opportunity to be part of a dynamic, forward-thinking, and inclusive college, working closely with the Sous Chef, as well as our Section Chef, Pastry Chef, and Head Chef.

The Deputy Sous Chef will be responsible for working closely with the Sous Chef in managing the kitchen team under the supervision of the Head Chef, and in their absence, assume responsibility for the kitchen function. Building and maintaining good relationships with all College members, customers and suppliers, they will be responsible for food preparation, team supervision and food hygiene.

The role operates on a four-week rotating shift pattern. Shifts are structured to provide a good work-life balance, with a mix of daytime and some evening work (typically at least two evenings per week), and just one weekend in four. • A 6% employer contributory pension scheme
  • Free car parking (if available)
  • Life assurance x3 salary
