Senior Lecturer/Programme Coordinator - Acting for Film

About this role

As a Senior Lecturer & Programme Coordinator in the School of Performing Arts and Conservatoire, your role will be to contribute to three key activities of the team, teaching, research and income generation. The working year will be divided between teaching, teaching-related administration, assessment, research and income generation activities in such proportions as may be decided by the Head of School after appropriate consultation, in accordance with the guidelines in the academic contract.

About you

You will need to demonstrate professional experience as a screen actor as well as experience in film-making (directing, scriptwriting, camera operation and video-editing) and have a good relevant undergraduate degree.

You will have the ability to work effectively and positively, have excellent teaching methods and presentation skills with the ability to develop a variety of approaches to learning and teaching that is student-centred, inclusive and flexible.

You will work within the team to strengthen student recruitment based on the distinctiveness of the University’s student experience as high-quality, personalised, accessible and aspirational.
