FixOurFood, based in the School for Business and Society, is an ambitious research programme inspiring action across Yorkshire to co-create a regenerative food system. With a focus on schools, hybrid business models and regenerative farming and working alongside a comprehensive team of stakeholders, the programme has identified areas of action with the greatest potential to transform the Yorkshire food system. The programme ends in February 2027. This would be a great 8 month secondment opportunity.
The FixOurFood Commission has been created as a legacy of the FixOurFood research programme, with a vision to provide a cohesive voice for Yorkshire food system transformation supporting healthy people, thriving businesses and a flourishing planet. The Commission will work alongside stakeholders to action change in food policy, remodel supply chains and public food procurement, improve dietary health, particularly in young people, and support innovation in regenerative practices.
This role is an exciting opportunity to manage the day to day operation of the Commission as it becomes firmly established in the region. You will support the Chair and Vice Chair of the Commission together with other commissioners to build a profile for the Commission and ensure commissioners can use their time effectively to support key areas of transformative action.
