University of the Arts London (UAL) is seeking an experienced lecturer to play a leading role within the UAL School of Pre-degree Studies (SPDS) at Lime Grove.

As Lecturer and College Outreach Practitioner, you will be responsible for teaching and curriculum development across UAL Outreach programmes, with a particular focus on the School of Pre-degree Studies. Working collaboratively with colleagues across the UAL Outreach team and SPDS, you will use your specialist expertise to develop innovative and critically informed pedagogies and curricula that support students from underrepresented backgrounds in accessing UAL courses.

You will be responsible for delivering a range of outreach programmes and opportunities, monitoring student progress and attendance, maintaining accurate records, and liaising effectively with colleagues and partners as appropriate. You will contribute to the development of teaching and curricula that inspire critical thinking and creative practice while promoting diversity, equality and inclusion.

You will also play a key role in expanding the capacity and impact of the UAL Outreach programme, helping to achieve the objectives set out in the University's Access and Participation Plan.

About you
You will have experience of teaching, together with a strong understanding of effective widening participation practice within arts, design and communication education in a further or higher education setting, or equivalent professional experience.

You will be able to demonstrate evidence of research, teaching, knowledge exchange and/or professional practice that contributes to the advancement of your discipline and aligns with the aims of the Programme, College and University.

You will also possess excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships and support students from diverse backgrounds to realise their full academic potential.
