Research Data Scientists
The University of Exeter Research Software and Analytics Group, consisting of Research Software Engineers, Research Data Scientists and Research Data Stewards, supports cutting-edge research across the university, improving reproducibility and bolstering impact. Research Data Scientists make a vital contribution to the university’s research portfolio by leveraging cutting-edge data science approaches to address real world challenges spanning the spectrum of computational and social science.

We are seeking a talented Research Data Scientist to join the team.
Every Research Data Scientist in the team is a member of the academic community and collaborates with researchers across the university to design and apply computational approaches to extract knowledge and insight from data, and help solve research problems in an ethical, reliable and reproducible fashion. They are typically simultaneously engaged in several research projects and thus are expected to multi-task and prioritise their own workload. Given the diverse nature of projects, they are also often required to develop expertise in new areas.
