The Faculty of Law is looking to hire a Senior Course Administrator to help launch and support the ongoing delivery of a new interdisciplinary postgraduate taught course, the MSc in Law, Governance and Artificial Intelligence. The Senior Course Administrator will independently manage a broad range of academic administrative processes across the full student lifecycle, including admissions, course delivery, student support, and examinations. The role will contribute significantly to the successful setup of the course, establishing effective administrative systems and processes in collaboration with academic staff, professional services colleagues, and external stakeholders. 

The postholder will act as a key point of contact to manage the day-to-day administrative processes and procedures for the course, using initiative to resolve issues and deal with changing priorities within the team, whilst ensuring data accuracy, compliance with regulations, and effective record keeping; oversee and support the administration of examinations and assessment process, coordinating submissions and marking, servicing examination boards, managing high volumes of confidential data, and ensuring correct examinations procedures are followed, in adherence with confidentiality and in compliance with the Data Protection Act; lead on admissions and recruitment administration in line with University regulations, policies and procedures, interfacing where appropriate with the Graduate Admissions Office; and coordinate committee and governance work. 

Candidates will have experience of working in higher education or a similar environment, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deal confidently and professionally with a wide range of stakeholders, and the ability to interpret complex regulations, policies, and procedures, using initiative and sound judgement. It would be desirable for candidates to have experience of supporting postgraduate taught courses or academic administration. 

The post is permanent and full time, with the possibility to request part-time (minimum of 0.8 FTE). The Law Faculty supports hybrid working and currently requires staff to be on site at least 40% of their working week. The postholder will be based in the Faculty of Law, St Cross Building, St Cross Road, Oxford, OX1 3UL.
