Cultural and Media Policy Studies (CMPS) is a part of the School of Creative Arts, Performance and Visual Cultures (SCAPVC) within the Faculty of Arts.

The School wishes to appoint a fixed-term, 0.8 FTE Teaching Fellow in Cultural and Creative Industries to work within Cultural and Media Policy Studies. The role will commence 1st September 2026.

About You  

We are seeking to appoint a candidate with expertise in the Cultural and Creative Industries, with a focus on the cultural and creative industries; cultural management; policy and regulation; and audience/user focused content. Ideally, the candidate will have industry expertise with links to domestic and international industry partners, and evidence of co-ordinating industry partner/organisation liaisons in an academic context. They will also have an interest in creative technologies, and the use of AI in the creative and cultural sector. 

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute innovative approaches to the delivery of the CMPS BA in Media and Creative Industries and our MA programmes. These include academic seminar-based teaching and practice-based modules (including creative projects where students respond to an external partner brief; liaise with industry contacts; design a cultural event; use createch innovation to manage cultural production; develop management and policy strategies aimed at anticipating disruption in the creative and cultural sector).

To be appointed, you will hold a postgraduate degree or equivalent industry/practice experience.

You will have clear potential for, or demonstrated excellence in academic teaching and learning, student experience and welfare (both pastoral and administrative), as well as experience in academic administration.
