Are you an experienced Research Analyst with a passion for using data to evaluate impact and influence practice across the higher education sector?

As Research Analyst, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality quantitative research for the HEAT membership, helping to shape the evaluation of widening participation activities across the UK. Working with large longitudinal datasets, you will produce robust analysis, develop insightful reporting and communicate complex findings in an accessible way, enabling members to make evidence-based decisions and maximise the impact of their work.

As Research Analyst you can expect to be involved in:

• Producing evaluation datasets and reports using robust analytical methods to support evidence-based decision making by HEAT members
• Developing business intelligence dashboards using tools such as Power BI to translate complex data into accessible insights
• Applying advanced analytical techniques to longitudinal datasets to generate evidence on the impact of educational interventions
• Presenting research findings to internal & external audiences to communicate insights and influence practice across the sector.

What will you bring to the role?

• BA/BSc in a relevant degree (Social Science) or equivalent
• Proven experience of designing evaluation based on large datasets to examine the impact of a social intervention
• Experience of building Power BI or other dashboards
• Experience of data analysis software e.g. R, SPSS, Excel.
