Applications are invited for the post of Project Manager in the Office of the School of Clinical Medicine; this is an exciting opportunity to work across the Education Division and the external consultancy Cambridge University Medical Education Group (CUMEG).

The post holder will lead diverse and often complex projects from concept through to completion — spanning the University as well as national and international medical education programmes — ensuring delivery on time, within budget and in line with agreed objectives. This is a hands-on role: gathering requirements from internal and external stakeholders, developing project plans, establishing governance, documentation and processes, managing risks and issues, monitoring progress, and reporting to and briefing senior stakeholders.

We are looking for someone with substantial project management experience across the full project lifecycle, including business case development, change management, project financial management, and the ability to select methodologies appropriate to each project. Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently under pressure and manage competing priorities. Knowledge of NHS structures and/or experience of projects involving the delivery or organisation of education is required. Experience of end-to-end procurement, interpreting legal and contractual documentation, and managing external suppliers is highly desirable.

To apply, click the 'Apply' button above. This will take you to the University's Web Recruitment System, where you will need to register for an account (if you don't have one) and log in to complete the online application form.

Closing date: 27 August 2026. Interviews: 23 September.

For questions about the vacancy or application process, contact Dr Litsa Biggs (FacultySec@medschl.cam.ac.uk) or Cheryl France (info@cumeg.cam.ac.uk).
