We invite applications for the role of Learning Programme Manager (Maternity Cover).

This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop and deliver the Fitzwilliam's Learning programme, with specific responsibility for the management and development of activity across our schools, young people, and the early years and families programmes.

The role oversees the design and practical delivery of exciting, responsive creative learning experiences that will be of interest to a broad spectrum of audiences, including delivery on-gallery, workshops in the studio, self-led trails, family days, resources, creative careers, accredited and non-accredited awards, strategic partnership projects, and training and development for teachers and practitioners, linked to our collections and contributing to our vision and mission.

Supported by the Deputy Director, Participation, Learning and Public Programmes, the post holder will work collaboratively with colleagues including the Public Programme Manager and Assistant Research Professor Museum Participation and Practice, to successfully deliver a programme of creative learning for multiple stakeholders. The post directly line manages a team of 7 (3.7FTE), including Learning Associates: Early Years and Families, and Learning Associates: Schools and Teachers, Museum Educators, and programme administrators and assistants, broadening access to the Museum's collection, research and teaching.

The post holder is also responsible for leading on the development of new approaches and methodologies to support high-quality, engaging and inclusive creative learning that engages with a diverse range of communities, contributing to ensuring the Museum's collections and the research activities that underpin them become more relevant for a larger and more diverse audience.

The role ensures that activity speaks to our four core areas of work within Learning: creating opportunity, identity and society, environment and sustainability, and health and wellbeing, that planned programme outcomes are delivered on time and on budget, that programme impacts are measured and evidenced and that evaluation and consultation feed into continuous improvement to ensure an offer that is high quality and relevant to local need. In practice, the role holder will combine development and direct delivery of programme activity with coordinating, influencing, and inspiring colleagues to contribute to programme delivery to achieve agreed outcomes for audiences.

Temporary cover: This post is fixed-term for 10 months or the return of the post holder, whichever is the earlier.
