Senior Lecturer in Health and Social Care and Public Health

The School of Nursing and Allied Health (SoNAH) at Birmingham Newman University is seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Health and Social Care and Public Health. The applicant should have relevant experience that also includes teaching on established Masters in Public Health programmes

We are expanding our Health team to support continued programme growth, maintain our commitment to an outstanding student experience, and contribute to the ongoing development of an ambitious and innovative Health and public health  portfolio. The successful post holder will play a key role in the delivery, development and enhancement of Health and Public Health education, working alongside colleagues across Nursing and Allied Health to prepare the next generation of healthcare professionals.

We are seeking experienced academics who have relevant experience in delivering MPH programmes and can also teach on our Health and Social Care programme who are interested in developing a career within higher education. Successful candidates will contribute to teaching, assessment, academic support, curriculum development, and partnership working

Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to maintaining professional registration and continuing professional development. Candidates should possess contemporary knowledge of Health and Social Care and Public Health and a commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment where diversity is celebrated and all students are supported to succeed. Applicants will also need to demonstrate either a recognised teaching qualification, HEA Fellowship, or a willingness to work towards an appropriate teaching qualification.

For Senior Lecturer appointments, applicants should additionally demonstrate evidence of academic leadership, curriculum development, module leadership, or significant educational leadership within professional practice or higher education settings.
