About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience in a dynamic and busy HR team of 7 in our new Life and Mind Building. The role encompasses a variety of responsibilities including assisting with the day-to-day operation of the HR function: recruitment, visitors, annual leave, auditing, reporting. You will also have ownership of specific processes such as visitors and fixed term contracts, along with specific recruitments, onboarding, payroll changes, alongside continuous improvement work.  

You will be fully trained in the delivery of these functions and as the one of the main points of contact for HR queries you will develop a thorough understanding of human resource administration. 

The Department as a varied research portfolio meaning that you will have the opportunity to deal with a variety of HR related queries. The post is an excellent opportunity to progress in the field of Human Resources in a department. 

About you

You will have experience working in HR, outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills and a sound understanding of the use of IT in administration.
