The Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment is a world-leading centre for research on climate change, the environment and sustainable development at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Its work has been recognised through the award of the Queen's Anniversary Prize for Higher and Further Education 2020–22.
We are seeking an outstanding and highly motivated Research Officer to join Earth Capital Nexus (EarthCap) - an ambitious research and action initiative developing new approaches to understanding the interactions between climate, nature, the economy and finance.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to cutting-edge quantitative research that informs decisions by governments, financial institutions, businesses and international organisations. Current research spans environmental-economic modelling, geospatial analytics, Earth Observation, climate and nature risk assessment, business and supply-chain resilience, financial risk analysis, and investment in environmental resilience.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an early-career researcher to help develop innovative analytical methods and datasets, contribute to high-profile research publications and policy reports, and engage directly with leading policymakers, financial institutions and international organisations working to strengthen economic resilience in the face of climate and nature-related risks.
