Head of School of Allied Health and Life Sciences

Founded over 130 years ago as the Borough Polytechnic Institute, London South Bank University (LSBU) was established to promote social mobility through employment-focused education and applied knowledge. Today, LSBU provides career pathways into key sectors including Health, Engineering, the Built Environment, Business and the Creative Industries.

The School of Allied Health and Life Sciences (AHLS), one of LSBU's largest academic Schools, delivers education, research and enterprise across a broad range of health, life sciences and sport disciplines, supporting learners from undergraduate to doctoral level, alongside continuing professional development.

We are now seeking an exceptional Head of School to provide strategic leadership for this diverse, multidisciplinary School. Reporting to the Executive Dean and serving on the College Executive Group, the postholder will drive excellence in education, research and enterprise, foster an inclusive and high-performing culture, and strengthen partnerships with students, employers and external stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be an established academic at Associate Professor or Professor level with significant leadership experience, a strong track record in curriculum development and academic management, and the ability to inspire others, influence strategically and deliver sustainable change.
