Kick-start your creative career.

Are you at the beginning of your graphic design journey and ready to develop your skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment?

We’re looking for a Junior Graphic Designer to join our Creative Services team and help bring Warwick’s brand to life. This is an exciting opportunity to build your experience while contributing to impactful campaigns that engage audiences across the University and beyond.

In this hands-on role, you’ll support the team in developing and delivering creative solutions that meet project objectives, elevate our marketing and communications, and support the University’s strategic goals. From initial ideas through to polished final artwork, you’ll work across both digital and print, creating assets such as social content, web graphics, posters, event materials and more.

Working closely with designers, video producers and colleagues across the University, you’ll gain valuable experience collaborating on briefs, contributing ideas and learning how to turn concepts into effective, high-quality design outputs.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will be:

  • A creative and motivated junior graphic designer, eager to learn and grow within a supportive team
  • Detail-oriented, with an eye for layout, typography and visual consistency
  • Confident using Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop)
  • Organised and proactive, able to manage your time and keep files and assets well structured
  • A strong communicator who enjoys working collaboratively and asking questions to get the best outcome
  • Open to feedback, with a positive attitude and a willingness to continuously improve your skills

You’ll have a good understanding of design fundamentals and an awareness of current design trends, along with a portfolio that shows your potential across a range of formats.

This role is a fantastic opportunity to develop your creative and technical skills while working on meaningful projects that make a real impact. You’ll be working within a collaborative team that values creativity, innovation and continuous learning.

If you’re excited to grow your career in design and contribute to engaging, high-quality creative work, we’d love to hear from you.

Please see the accompanying job description for more details about the role. We work flexibly at the University of Warwick, and this is a hybrid position with a minimum of two days in the office each week.
