We are seeking to recruit a Housekeeping Assistant to work Monday to Friday 7am-12pm
The post holder will play a key role in contributing towards both the student and staff experience, provide housekeeping support across all University buildings and residences as operationally required, including cleaning, waste management and event support. To ensure the safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible collection, transportation, disposal of general waste and recyclable materials across the Campus. The role involves regular manual handling, pushing and pulling wheelie bins, frequent walking across campus and working outdoors in all weather conditions maintaining waste storage areas, cleanliness standards, and operating company vehicle in accordance with health and safety procedures.
Applicants should have a good general level of education including literacy and numeracy, previous cleaning and recycling experience, and an understanding of COSSH regulations. The ability to work well as part of a team and independently is also essential.
