Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Dairy Production. This role, based in the UCD School of Agriculture & Food Science, will support undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research, and wider engagement in the area of dairy production. The appointee will join a dynamic and interdisciplinary team of 18 full-time academics within the Section of Animal & Crop Science, contributing to a shared mission of addressing global food, environmental, and societal challenges through teaching, research, and knowledge exchange in animal and crop production systems.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a demonstrated passion for teaching and research in dairy production, with an emphasis on grass-based systems of production. The successful candidate will hold a PhD in Agricultural Science or a closely related discipline, with a strong focus on dairy production and ideally with research interests that intersect with grass and forage production and environmental sustainability. In addition to a strong research profile, the appointee should demonstrate excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills and a commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration.
